Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience
Objectives
Psychobiology and Psychopharmacology:
This curriculum is aimed at forming students capable of autonomous research in several neuroscientific fields, spanning from the molecular and cellular level to the level of higher brain functions, including animal and human behaviour.
Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience:
This curriculum is aimed at the study of human neural correlates of high-order cognitive function, such as attention, space representation, visual perception, number recognition, motor cognition, consciousness, body representation, memory and developmental dyslexia. Research is carried out on brain-damaged patients, healthy patients and elite athletes.
The main aim of this curriculum is to train students to the use of a wide range of behavioural, clinical and brain-imaging investigative strategies and to strongly promote their scientific independency and commitment.
